Dante Caulfield finds himself inflicted with a disease that would put an end to a life he never really bothered living. Resigned to his fate, he tries to live out the last of his days by smoking and drinking himself to death. All that however would change after he meets a stranger who claims to be Mephistopheles and offers him a contract. And the rest as they say is history.
