An insignificant commander of a militia of a town in the middle of nowhere gets a mysterious system. Whether this was out of sheer dumb luck, or something far greater and even divine, our protagonist does not know. What he does know, is that is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and he will use it to the fullest. He will not only have to deal with the steel of his enemies, but with the mystical and the supernatural. Elemental magic that could wipe out entire armies, beasts as large as homes, and magical weapons augmented with equally magical materials that outmatch the finest weaponry forged by smiths. Whether he succeeds or not, is in the air, as his powers lie not in his ability to fight, but to lead those under his command. (This is gonna be a side story for me to work on whilst I am not doing chapters for A Cascade of Steel.)
