Cole Vance was forging a sword when the world ended. This was no great surprise, he spent most of his time forging swords. Oh, the world ending? Brent Hemwick, the Chosen Mage, gains knowledge of mana that wise old sages would beg for. His spells can wield any force or element, and his wisdom is almost limitless. In a true competition of magic, none can outdo him. Aliana Simone, the Chosen Rogue, becomes one with the shadows. A seasoned killer even before the Descent, she wields both blades and darkness with infinite grace. In true darkness, only she reigns supreme. Cole Vance, the Chosen Creator, likes making swords. He gets better at making swords. He tests his swords, and various other implements of violence, on the convenient hordes of Monsters that just appeared. In a true- yeah yeah we get it, just let the man make his swords. Together, they are the strongest force Earth has. If they ever bother to meet up, that is. A certain shut-in is a bit too busy forging.
