One day on their way back from a failed hunt, Malicade, an 18 year old boy from a village in the Western Woods, and his partner Reculan are attacked. Unable to live with himself for abandoning his friend as he ordered him to, he turns back, tracking him and his assailant to a mysterious clearing he's never seen before.  After a confrontation with an abnormally large bear, Malicade is saved by his tribes Deity: The Wolf God Lycaon. Who then dies in his arms no sooner than he appeared. What ensues will turn his life upside down forever as he struggles to make his way through the consequences of this not so chance meeting.
