Synopsis
“The legend of The Broken Mind is such that the one who unearths it, shall hold a power great enough to rule the world.”
In an urban world where Arcanists roam freely, a young girl named Talea suffers a mysterious tragedy that strips her of a part of her humanity. With her mind cracked and slowly deteriorating, Arrick, a renowned Arcanist and Chaser, is charged with being her mentor. For eight years he guides her until she is finally deemed worthy to attend Elta, the Arcane Capitol of the world. Talea could not be happier about her new predicament.
With her newfound place among society, Talea excels in her training, motivated by her aspirations to become a Chaser like Arrick. But what she does not know is that she was sent to Elta for a dual purpose.
Her condition has made her the perfect soldier in other’s minds. She is impulsive, arrogant, reckless and spiteful, not to mention downright cruel at times. Her cold and indifferent ways have turned her into a deadly weapon, for as her mind breaks, her power only increases. And as her mind descends into darkness, so too do her emotions fade.
The question is, can she reverse the effects on her mind before it shatters entirely, unleashing a power that could wipe out the nations in a single, fell stroke?
Does she even want to?
