As winter approaches, a mysterious young man is found injured in the woods near Northanger. Little do the townspeople know that his enemies draw near. They take him in as snow covers the valley, and all he can do is wait and slowly recover, hoping - rather than believing - he is safe. If his pursuers find him, no one in Northanger will be safe.
