Azucena was not expecting much trouble going after a group of errant animated skeletons in an abandoned mall near Sao Paolo. The Necromancer was dead. She knew because she had been directly responsible. But that derelict shopping centre and the boy waiting there would send her down a very different path altogether - one that would see her and her diverse group of spell-wielding adventurers on a globetrotting adventure seeking the very origins of magic. The Bone Remembers is a pulpy, extravagant, and anarchistic urban fantasy adventure set in the near future, where the world is only recovering from the devastation caused by a powerful wizard known as the Necromancer.  It is a participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge, and will be posted as I write it, completely unedited.
