[Anima pool complete. Uploading to blueprints now]
[Quest complete]
[Rank one anima gathering pool complete, +0.8 anima/h, total 2.9 anima/h]
Angela reads the notifications before letting out a massive yawn. Thinking that perhaps she should get a good rest before continuing onwards Angela heads to bed. Waking up just as the ninth hour notification pops up Angela marvels at how accurate her body clock has become and drags herself out of her bed. It is at this point that her senses start to wake up and she lets out a groan; her arms and shoulders feel like they are on fire.
Deciding that she wouldn't do any strenuous activities like she did yesterday Angela shuffles outside, shoulders slumped like a zombie. Realising that she still hadn't set up any furniture Angela grits her teeth and opens up the blueprint menu. The new anima pool schematic was there with an extortionate cost of 100 anima and Angela immediately dismissed building any in the near future given that it would take more than 100 hours to return enough anima to pay for itself.
Angela quickly sketches out a simple chair and table, each movement of her arm made her aching muscles cry out and so she made as few unnecessary actions as possible. Now that she had a rather wonky looking set of furniture Angela sits down and opens the quest menu; wishing she didn't have to use her arm to do so.
Along with the quest she means to hand in, four new quests have appeared. Angela is surprised but after thinking about it, it seemed reasonable. The quests must have been unlocked after completing the island core quest as they had similar conditions.
Quests:
Kill 5 rank one demon beasts: 4/5, reward: 30 anima, +0.1 anima/h
Register 5 rank one plants: 3/5, reward: herbalist's bench
Construct a rank one anima gathering pool: 1/1, reward: magika arcanus (compete)
Explore a rank one fire class demon island and retrieve its core: 0/1, reward: an introduction to basic offensive spells
Explore a rank one earth class demon island and retrieve its core: 0/1, reward: rank one "earthen body" tempering arts
Explore a rank one wind class demon island and retrieve its core: 0/1, reward: rank one "wind step" movement arts
Explore a rank one metal class demon island and retrieve its core: 0/1, reward: rank one "nine forging strikes" metalworking arts, furnace schematics
Given that the island she had already explored was a water class one and was like a forest the other islands would also probably have themes. The fire class island is probably a volcano or something similar while the earth class was probably a hill or a mountain. Angela had no idea about the wind and metal class islands though as nothing came to mind immediately.
Nevertheless those quests were far off and it would rely on her luck to find the islands; though she wasn't sure she wanted to at the moment, she was far too weak. Turning her attention to what she had opened the menu for in the first place Angela selects complete and the quest glow surrounds her once again. A new popup appears and a new tab is available at the top right of her vision.

Angela was interested that the books still had a physical form but she was fine with it as she liked the feeling of a real book more than a digital one anyway. She selects the magika arcanus and a large book appears on the table in front of her with a thud.
Opening the first page Angela begins to read. "The magika arcanus is an artificers guide to the arcane. Upon completing every construction in this book you can be considered a rank one artificer."
On the next page is a table of contents. From what she can see there are at least twenty constructions with many more pages about theory and materials. Clearly this would be a long venture but it would all be worth it, the eighteenth construction is the teleporter that she was looking for.
Turning to the page listed for the teleporter Angela's breath leaves her body all at once. Most of the materials required were things Angela had never even heard of; never mind the runic patterns. It would seem she would have to start from the beginning. Thankfully the one positive point was that the restrictions weren't as bad as she initially thought. Once the teleporter was activated she would have twenty four hours before she would be brought back along with anything she was making skin contact with.
Angela lets out a resigned sigh before turning back to the first page after the contents page. The page was titled 'properties of magika' and was a lengthy block of words. It would most likely be boring but it was necessary and so Angela had plenty of determination.
