Synopsis
Avery Whitlock is struggling to cope with the tragic loss of her adoptive father, Gregory, when childhood friends Oscar and Blue encourage her to escape to BlackBurn, a new nightclub in a nearby city. She can think of a hundred things she’d rather do, but after some gentle prodding—reminiscent of her father's unwavering support—she reluctantly agrees, thinking a little alcohol might dull the pain.
Inside the pulsating club, with the music thumping and lights flashing, Avery focuses on staying upright and fighting the gloom that clings to her. As she navigates the crowd, she steps out for a breath of fresh air near the restrooms, where she unexpectedly encounters a striking figure. His thick black waves and piercing gaze draw her in, but an unsettling aura surrounds him.
“Come with me,” he urges, his voice smooth yet commanding, sending a chill down her spine. Despite the allure of his presence, something instinctive tells her to hesitate. Just then, Blue appears, eyes wide with fascination, as if enchanted by the man’s magnetic pull. Avery glances at her friend, confusion swirling in her mind. How could Blue be so entranced?
“Avery, you should go with him!” Blue exclaims, her voice laced with excitement. But Avery shakes her head, instinctively knowing that this is not the path she should take. She can feel the weight of the moment, the tension crackling in the air, and something deep within her whispers that this won't be the last time she sees him. As she turns away, heart pounding, she can’t help but wonder about the connection that lingers in the space between them
