Synopsis
It was a cold, silent night as I wandered through the mountainous terrain. The darkness stretched infinitely before me, interrupted only by the occasional glimmer of distant stars. Suddenly, without warning, a spaceship descended from the sky, its speed unimaginable—like a bolt of lightning tearing through the fabric of reality.
The craft landed right in front of me. Its metallic surface gleamed under the pale moonlight, and its massive door slid open in two parts. A strange force pulled me towards it, as if I were a tiny piece of metal drawn to a powerful magnet. My feet lifted off the ground, and before I could even react, I was inside.
The spaceship shot into the sky with a speed that defied logic. Within seconds, the Earth was nothing but a distant memory. Then, everything went dark. I couldn’t breathe. My lungs burned as if suffocating in an invisible vacuum. Panic surged through my body, but before I could comprehend what was happening, I lost consciousness.
When I woke up, I found myself lying on a massive glass-like machine. Strange, colorful lights pulsated around me, their glow bathing my body in an eerie luminescence. I felt the energy seeping into me, warming my skin, my muscles, my bones. My body absorbed the light, and a strange sensation washed over me—I was being revived.
A thin, scanner-like device emerged from the machine, hovering inches above me. It began scanning my hair, my head, my entire body. A tingling sensation spread through my veins, as if electricity was coursing through me. Slowly, I felt myself changing. My muscles tightened, becoming denser, stronger. My arms and legs stretched longer. My entire body expanded and evolved.
I had always been 5'6", but now, I was towering at 6'2". My arms felt like steel, my skin tougher than ever before. I was no longer the same person.
The machine lowered me onto a smooth platform, and I was transported into a vast, luminous chamber. There, standing before me, were beings unlike anything I had ever seen. They had two legs and two arms, much like humans, but they were towering—nearly 8 feet tall. Their skin shimmered in vibrant colors, shifting like liquid metal under the lights. They exuded an aura of intelligence and power.
Before I could even speak, they raised a hand, and a wave of information flowed into my mind. They had scanned my thoughts, my language, my very essence. Within moments, they could communicate with me.
"You were dead when you arrived," one of them explained, its voice resonating in my head rather than my ears. "There is no oxygen here, but we have reconstructed your body. You no longer require oxygen to survive. In fact, you can now exist in any environment, even in the vacuum of space."
I stood in stunned silence, processing what they had just said.
"Where am I?" I finally asked.
"You are in another galaxy," the being answered. "Millions of light-years away from your Milky Way."
A chill ran down my spine. I had been taken farther than any human had ever traveled. I had been changed, rebuilt, transformed into something beyond human.
But why?
And what was their purpose for me?
As I looked around the enormous chamber, I realized one terrifying truth—I might never see Earth again.
