Synopsis
The Astral Plane. A resplendent white void that stretches infinitely in every cardinal direction, with only the slightest of disturbances spread throughout. Seemingly still upon first glance, however, when observed a little closer, one would find a slight movement in the sea of energy, concentrated around small ruptures in space and time, leading to worlds and lands unknown.
In one of the seemingly infinite worlds connected to this strange plane lives Jonah, a mage living in a world where his mere existence is a crime. Sold out by his own parents, Jonah was forced to live a life on the run, hunted down by the insidious Mage Hunters. No chase lasts forever, though. Cornered, Jonah mustered a last-ditch effort to take his pursuers along with him, opening a rift to the Astral Plane. However, upon his death, his soul was pulled into the rift. For tens of thousands of years, his soul drifted within this realm, only to one day escape. This is the tale of Jonah's second life, his life as Arthur Erette, in an unfamiliar world. A world where mages are not villains, but the chosen few of society. But being idolized isn't all that it's cracked up to be, and being on a pedestal is a surefire way to become an easy target.
