A baby boy, named Sylifan, suddenly gains the ability to think, speak, and walk. Thought to be a blessing, his parents soon find out that is means something else entirely: the aspects, the elemental forces of the world, will never be under his control. Stuck being the only one in the entire world not able to wield an aspect, there's only one thing Sylifan can do: Be completely and utterly abnormal. Make his mother cry? Check. Able to see the physical manifestations of the aspects? Check. Become friends with a local beast who can flood an entire town in seconds? Check. Be called a demon by the other townspeople? Check. Go on a journey at the age of three? A matter of course! This is Sylifan's adventure as he discovers secrets about the world he lives in and confronts powers far beyond a three-year old's imagination.
