A girl named Freya is a servant at a castle. A Mage arrives at the castle and reveals that she too is a Mage. Freya is renamed as Ariella and lives in the country's capital, where she meets the other Mages and learns to use magic. The threat of extremely hostile demons, known as mistserpents, is beginning to get out of hand. The Mages' goal of the story is to find out more about these creatures and find out where they are coming from.
