Arekaii is a planet dominated by war and violence - its history is intertwined with that of bloodshed; such that the soil bleeds blood when dug for dirt.
But all things come to an end - even thirst for war and blood. Unity against outside forces, and strengthening bonds between nations finally ushered in an era of peace - true peace, however fragile.
But bonds forged by mortals perish with them - and the ties that bound nations and people together have begun to unravel.
Then, approximately seventy years ago, doorways began to appear all across the planet: only a few at first - sporadically, limited to trees of old - before spreading like pollen, reaching the ends of the world. Not long after, the doorways began to appear everywhere; on the side of buildings, in the middle of paved roads, even on faces of national monuments.
The doorways did not come alone; an identical plaque accompanied them all: promising power, glories, and riches to those who walk through into Iye, even an empire to the bold and keen enough.
Frenzy and panic gripped the world as nations prepared to send entire armies plundering into the depths of Iye - scouring the land for resources, looking for the slightest edge to begin war anew.
Unfortunately, the plaque left out a crucial detail.
Once you enter, there is no leaving.
And so begins the story of FALMR:
