Synopsis
Piper Reilly had her life perfectly disorganized — right up until the moment she died. Now, instead of pearly gates and angel choirs, she's stuck in the afterlife's mind-numbing bureaucracy with an aggressively ambiguous guide, a suspiciously omniscient cat, and a point system that makes no sense. Worse, she's been assigned to process files for souls in rehabilitation, forced to confront uncomfortable truths about judgment, acceptance, and her own rigid worldview.
As Piper navigates this bizarre afterlife, complete with celestial office politics and impossible architecture, she discovers that death might be the easiest part of her journey. The hard part? Finally facing the life she left behind, including the sister she refused to accept and the truths she tried so hard to deny.
Sometimes it takes dying to learn how to really live. And sometimes the afterlife has a wicked sense of humor about teaching its lessons.
