Strategically located on an isthmus separating two seas and connecting five major continents, the Eternal City is a bustling melting pot of people and cultures from across the world. Under the surface, tensions in the city are high as the spectre of war looms on the horizon. A twist of fate results in a young pickpocket being recruited into a band of thieves for a lucrative job: to steal a mysterious heirloom and in doing so, spark an uproar amongst the city’s noblest families. After infiltrating the home of one of the city’s most influential men, she finds her loyalties conflicted between completing the job and earning enough money to solve all her problems, and the prospect of leaving her life of crime and return to the life she was cast out from.
