An airship falls from the sky, a slave is branded, and a phoenix burns. Thus begins the story of the 7th Lattice. Events are about to take place that will forever shape the history of all the islands, and may result in the shift of power in previously un-heard of places.  The 7th Lattice is a hard sci-fi/fantasy story set in a world very much different than our own, and yet eerily similar in many aspects. It will contain a lot of character-building, way too many in-depth explanations, and a large amount of things not making sense at first glance. I encourage questions, as I am happy to answer the ones that won't be all spoilery. This story began as a thought exercise on a new magic system, and it blossomed into something that I am astounded that I wrote. It will be long, already my backlog is a hundred thousand words, and I expect that to only get longer.  I will be posting monthly, with lore dumps and interludes to happen randomly within.  Please enjoy.
