The seat upon which magic sits upon is threatened by the dawn of the industrial revolution. Machine guns face off against self-strengthening warriors, dragons and griffons challenged by biplanes and massive airships, the arcane infused with steel. There are those against, while those embracing it. There is only one clear winner, and those are the ones who embraced the new era. Follow Ries, a feline Beastmen, a Katzen, who fled from her tribe to prove herself worthy and suddenly becoming an important Imperial official out of the blue. With no experience, no connections, and certainly not very much willingness out of fear of being executed for impersonation. But at least the pay is good, right? Becoming the first Beastmen to mingle with the upper echelons of Imperial society, losing her soul over paperwork, becoming a mouthpiece for the empire, and wore suits that cost more than the average family's.
