Synopsis
It's time, The System is coming to Earth whether the planets wants it to or not. There's just one small problem, the planet is completely devoid of mana, one of the foundational aspects of The System. If The System were to arrive like it would on a regular world, the sudden influx of mana would start the apocalypse and potentially bring about the death of all life on the planet. Naturally, The System doesn't want that outcome as it exists to uplift life through perseverance, so instead it shall do the next best thing it can. It will place an advanced dungeon core on the planet and use that as a faucet, slowly filling the planet with mana until the System can safely integrate.
This is the story of that dungeon core and it's quest to build a dungeon strong enough to survive the potential years it could take for its purpose to be fulfilled. After all, The System may not be malevolent but it can be impatient, and dungeon core's are very valuable. Even on a system-less planet, the sheer quality of the gem the size of a dungeon core is unmatched, its value obvious to even possibly the blind. If the dungeon is destroyed and the core ripped from its domain, The System will simply bring about the incited apocalypse anyway and strengthen the survivors instead.
How will our dungeon core fare on a world almost entirely unsuited to its kind? After all, if it flounders too hard, the consequences could be disastrous both for itself and the world it was placed on.
This is my first longform story, any reviews or feedback would be appreciated. A consistent upload schedule cannot be promised at this time, but I can promise that I wont drop this story until I see it done. I also plan for some reader interactivity to determine certain larger aspects of how the dungeon will be constructed.
Note, content warnings are there for a reason. Don't expect those who enter the dungeon be able to leave with all of their limbs, or leave at all for that matter.
