In the wild region of Specter, humans and Thaeons have worked, fought and lived side-by-side for centuries. Now that he's eighteen, Nil is finally ready to receive his starter and embark along the path of a Trainer to climb the ranking ladder in a race against the others. Except this starter isn't quite what he or the professor expect. Meanwhile, Marvin, the top researcher for Demiurge, is working on his own project that threatens to flip the region on its head and completely change the status quo. Nil soon bites off more than he can chew as he ventures through Specter with his strange new companion by his side, exploring, training and, more importantly, trying to survive.
