While on Atlantis to work on the replicator code, Todd the Wraith (as yet unnamed) is exposed to a plant which causes an alteration to wraith physiology, and causes severe biological reactions to anyone who comes into contact with him. Lt Colonel John Sheppard must make a decision to protect the people in his command, a decision with unforseen complications and sets in motion a series of events that will change the face of the galaxy.
