The Monstrous Continent, a massive landmass surrounded by the fearsome Terrible Sea. The forces of the Undying Emperor wage constant war against the monstrous denizens of this land to reap supernatural resources that allow the rest of the Empire of humanity to prosper. I had the general idea for this setting a while ago, but I haven't written anything in over ten years. I always struggled with writing a full length story, so I decided to write a collection of short stories set in the universe. I'm planning on having a bit of fun with the concept of history in an eternal authoritarian government, as well as having exposition relayed to the reader by unreliable narrators. Beyond that, themes include duty, sacrifice, and the struggle of existing in a land more hostile to human life than anywhere on Earth. To anybody who reads this, I apologize. Like I said, I haven't written in over a decade, and I expect I'll be getting rid of a lot of bad stories before I write something worth reading.
