The Kingdoms of Arkester have held hatred for one another as long as anyone can remember. Wars are fought, and people are butchered, all to try and re forge an empire that might have never even existed. The stories of old depict casters and creatures of magic, but little remains beyond the rare weapon or armour. In this world, Thaddeus Terinen tenth of his name, reigned over the largest of the Kingdoms of Arkester. And though his funeral is only just underway, his numerous children greedily anticipate the lands they'll receive.  It is Caro Lanfrid's only desire to honour the life of his closest friend, and serve dutifully to whomever shall succeed him. Unfortunately for him, that would be far too simple.
