When Vladimir Stone meets his untimely end, while being on his way back home from his 9 to 5 job he’s suddenly faced with a divine being with a rather unusual name: Bailed the Failed God. Unlike the typical afterlife encounters, Vlad’s new deity is less benevolent and more tired out bordering being burned out. He offers Vlad a chance of transmigrating while also having some powers, but Vlad starts asking the burned out God questions, and so the story takes an unconventiona turn. Instead of accepting the easy transition into a fantasy realm or a blissful reincarnation, the deity is thoroughly annoyed by Vlad’s incessant questions and demands for clarity decides to throw him into the System. In a twist of irony, Vlad finds himself assigned a job far from the idyllic and exciting adventures he imagined. Instead of wielding magical powers or exploring fantastical lands, he’s thrust into the mundane and often baffling role of a System Administrator for a sprawling, interdimensional bureaucracy. His new reality is a relentless grind of managing insane bullshit, mediating between quarrelling annoyances, and dealing with existential paperwork that never seems to end. As Vlad navigates this tiresome, yet oddly relatable, nine-to-five job in a reality where every task is a challenge, he discovers that the job is not all that it seems to be. It’s a test of perseverance, creativity, and problem-solving skills, with the promise of transcendence and true understanding if he can endure the trials of his new role. With every absurd issue and bureaucratic nightmare, Vlad learns that even in a universe brimming with chaos, there are lessons to be learned and growth to be achieved. "System.in" is my attempt at writing a humorous and introspective journey through the trials of life, blending in absurdity with a touch of everyday reality.
