The Antithesis Returns. But so do the Titans, and they bring with them the hope of humanity.  Erandius came to Earth expecting to watch one more apocalypse in a series of many. He is weary after millennia of fighting a losing battle against a foe that knows only how to consume and destroy.  Yet he continues to stand his eternal vigil against the implacable end of all that is.  He just knows that it won't be enough.  It never is. Fifteen year old Eli Mathews was on his way to school when Erandius initiated the process of unleashing the system upon the Earth to prepare it for the oncoming apocalypse.  Caught up in events that he barely understands, he accepts the title of Runekeeper and begins the process of putting together a party to delve into the dungeons that will soon be unleashed. Slowly, around him, the world begins to burn as the System tears society apart.  The strong become stronger and the weak...also become stronger, but not as fast.  Not fast enough.  New worlds never adapt fast enough to stand against the Antithesis. The System is the Crucible that the Titans bring.  It is a test, and the only hope of humanity.  But it might just kill everyone before the Antithesis even arrives.
