We ran down the staircase as fast as possible, knowing that Thinker might still be alive. We blitzed it down the surprisingly long hallway as monsters began spawning by the hundreds in-front of us. “Get out of the way!” I shouted as I pulled out my longsword, I swung my sword into the monstrous crowd.

Kirito pulled out his dual swords and helped me clear out the wave as well, Slashing level 75 frogs. As Kirito and I kept clearing the front, Asuna, Toru, and Yulier were keeping the remaining frogs from attacking us from the back. We kept clearing through the hallway as we reached another door after 10 minutes.

“Toru, Asuna! Switch sides and open the door!”

I shouted as they nodded their heads, switching sides as Yulier followed Toru and Asuna. I gripped my sword with both hands as I said to Kirito “we’re the strongest ones in our group, let’s just hold it off for now” as he replied “I’m stronger and you know it”. “Can we not!!” I shouted as frogs began jumping at us, Kirito slashed his side and I slashed my side as we began backing up towards Asuna and Toru.

They forced the door open as Toru shouted “HEY! LET’S GET GOING YOU TWO!!” as we turned and blitzed it towards the door. Kirito jumped in first as I jumped in second, taking a frog leg drop with me as Toru, Asuna, and Yulier then closed the door. Both Kirito and I looked at each other as we began to laugh.

We got up as Toru smacked me over the head, I rubbed my head as she seemed genuinely angry. I didn’t say anything as I looked ahead, seeing that there was some light behind a throne and the entity that sat on the throne. “I think we made it guys” I said unease at the atmosphere of the room, feeling dark and gloomy.

The rest of our group felt all the same, except Yui. She blinked as she tugged on Asuna and Kirito. Both of them looked down at her, with Asuna asking “What is it Yui?”. She pointed at the entity and the throne saying “He’s in there…” in a cold,calm and collected voice.

This surprised the group as Yulier said “Are you sure?!? How do you know?!?” as Yui didn’t respond. With all of us now feeling uneasy, we looked dead center at the entity sitting on the throne. We saw red eyes as its end of the hallway was a little too dark for us to make out what it was. The light didn’t help as the Throne it sat on barely showed its silhouette. We all got ready as Asuna pulled out her rapier and Yulier pulled out a shortsword.

The Red Eyes just looked at us, sitting almost like a king would sit looking at peasants that didn’t interest him. A low growl was heard from this entity as we walked towards it with caution. Just as we were walking, we then heard sudden clanging sounds as it echoed throughout the hall.

We all stopped in our footsteps as a cackle was heard from the entity, Toru noticed something waving behind the pillars that were around us as she said “What’s that?” confused as we looked to see the same thing waving.

We looked at the other pillars as we noticed more and more pop out from behind the pillars, then mobs walked out from behind it revealing medium-sized entities, they were darker in color as they resembled the Kobold Sentinels from the first labyrinth. “They’re Kobold Sentinels..” Kirito remarked on their appearance as one charged towards us and swung its mace.

Kirito was quick to block it but overpowered his attempt and threw him back. I quickly swung my sword at it as it jumped back and let out a sinister and distorted cackle sound. It crawled under my virtual skin as it sent chills down my spine, Five walked out from behind the pillars as their levels were 83.

“Shit…”

I thought to myself as I was only level 82, a level lower than the Sentinels. Our group only consists of Four level 80+, one level 75+ and a level 3. Kirito got up as he took a defensive stance, I tightly gripped my sword with two hands as they began to charge at us.

I swung my sword as it ducked under it and Counter swung, smashing my face with its mace and throwing me off balance, Toru rushed up from the side and got a clean punch on it. Kirito and Asuna branched off as Yulier was stuck protecting Yui. Toru punched it again as its health went down slightly as I slashed it and it’s health dropped a little more, “Just punch the ever living shit out of it!” I shouted as she replied back “Way ahead of you!” trying to hit it.

With its medium stature, Toru wasn’t able to get a clean hit, only grazing it or dodging it completely. “STAND STILL YOU LITTLE RAT!!!” Toru shouted in anger as She managed to punch it after missing almost 10 times. I came from the side and slashed its side, stunning it as Toru charged up a punch and uppercutted the Sentinel, sending it flying upwards.

We both looked up as Toru clenched her hand into a fist hard, charging up another punch as she took a step back and punched the Sentinel straight forward. She sent the sentinel flying towards the entity as it just slightly moves its head and the Sentinel slams near its head shattering.

Toru flipped off the Entity as I turned and saw one jump at her, tackling her out of the way and seeing the sentinel miss entirely. Eventually after 10 minutes we cleared out the 5 kobold sentinels that were in our way. Exhausted and used most of our resources, Yulier and Yui were unscathed as we kept the Sentinel’s attention off of them and onto us.

We all used our last potions that we carried on us, healing up to high yellow. Asuna opened her inventory and split a piece of bread four-ways. “Here you all take one” She said to all of us as Kirito, Toru and I took one and we all ate our pieces. We all healed up to low green and looked over to the Entity that sat there. It then got up and put on a shield and picked up its enormous sword that was stuck in the concrete floor.

We heard its heavy footsteps walk down from the stairway as we finally got to see the thing in some light. Kirito and I instantly recognized it as Illfang the Kobold Lord, But it seemed…A little different.

Its physical appearance was shot up tenfold, shown being physically buff and being slightly darker in color. Instead of its red and bright skin tone it has a dark gray skin tone like the Sentinels. I was worried about the fight as Kirito and I only fought the Bright red version and physically weaker version of Illfang in the Beta.

I hadn’t felt this worried since my encounter with Kuradeel back on floor 2, A chill and a bad aura was around this hallway. It stopped in its tracks as it gave our entire party a menacing and death-like stare.

It almost felt like it was studying us, watching our movements as Kirito and I slowly spreaded out a little bit from Toru and Asuna. It then spotted Yulier and Yui as it’s eyes locked onto Yui, roaring out and the room echoing. The scenery of the hallway glowed up as star-like lights were glowing and giving the room more light. It charged straight for Yulier and Yui as it ran past us, we looked over and saw as we shouted “GET OUT OF THE WAY!!” with Yulier jumping out of the way as it swung its scimitar straight down.

We ran towards it as it turned around and roared at us. I gripped my sword and swung at it, seeing that it blocked my slash with its shield. Kirito rushed from the side as he landed two hits on it, hearing it roar in agony a bit before turning its attention to Kirito.

Kirito jumped back as it tried stomping on Kirito, Asuna ran into the fight as she thrusted her rapier into its leg quickly and swiftly ran around towards its back. All of a sudden, Illfang just jumped high into the air as Kirito and I recognized this move shouting at Asuna “RUN!!!” as we blitzed out of its range.

Illfang fell down slamming it’s sword into the ground, shattering pieces of the floor and sending a shockwave all around the impact. Asuna took the hit as she instantly dropped down to lower yellow, slamming her back against a pillar.

“ASUNA!!”

Kirito shouted as he rushed over towards Asuna, Illfang noticed this as it smirked and prepared a downward slash towards Kirito. I ran over towards him as Illfang slashed down and I parried the hit by slashing the sword to the side and landing beside us. “Go!” I shouted as I ran in and slashed at Illfang’s abdomen multiple times.

Kirito sets his swords down and goes to pick her up, “hey! Hey!!” he shouts, lightly smacking her cheek trying to get her to wake up. “C’mon c’mon!” He mutters scared underneath his breath as he keeps smacking her cheek. Asuna groaned a bit before opening her eyes a bit, “Kiri…to..?” she said lightly as he hugged her.

“Oh thank god…!”

He said in a state of relief as she said lightly “Too hard…Hugging too hard…” as Kirito let go a bit and looked at her. “Hey!! We can use some help over here!!” I shouted at them as Yulier and Yui ran over to them. “We got her, go help them Kirito!” Yulier said as he looked over at Asuna.

He took a deep breath as Yui set her hand on his saying “Mama will be okay” trying to comfort him. “Thank you Yui…” he said as he picked up his swords and stood back up, rushing over towards the Illfang fight. I kept blocking sword swings as Illfang’s health was down two bars and he had three left, I parried a sideways swing from Illfang’s Scimitar shouting “TORU SWITCH!!”.

Toru ran in as she charged up both fists and threw punches at Illfang’s abdomen before straight punching into his abdomen. Illfang was knocked back a bit as his third health bar went down. Toru and I were exhausted as we both were breathing heavily, Illfang roared out as he threw his sword to the side and pulled off his shield, also throwing it to the side.

He then pulled out a wrapped, second weapon from his back as we saw it was a different weapon when the wraps came off. “It’s an Odochi!” I shouted as Kirito ran to our aid, saying “I can see that Kirin!”. “What’s our approach this time?” I asked him as he said “run around it!” as he blitzed off. I followed and branched off towards the other side as Illfang charged up a hit and spun around swinging.

Kirito and I jumped or ducked underneath the AOE swing, slashing it’s back as Toru stayed back to fully charge up a skill. We ran around Illfang as Illfang targeted me, swinging down the Odachi, I sidestepped as I lost my footing and fell to the side. Illfang pulled up its weapon as Kirito shouted at it, “OVER HERE!!” as Illfang turned its attention to Kirito, but then turned its attention to Toru.

She gave him the death stare as she fully charged up the punch, Running towards Illfang. Illfang roared out as Kirito and I ran in to get its aggro, But Illfang ignored us and blitzed towards Toru. Toru jumped as Illfang swung its sword at her, she punched at the sword swing as she struggled a bit.

“C’mon!! HAAAH!!”

Toru shouted before her skill effect went away, she was then swung at a diagonal direction downwards. Hard landing on the ground and bouncing up from it a bit. My eyes widened as I rushed over towards Toru, “TORU!!” I shouted as my anxiety began to build up rapidly.

I slid under Illfangs attack as I reached Toru, picking her up. “KIRIN WATCH OUT!!” Kirito shouted as he blitzed over, but was too far to reach us. I looked up as Illfang swung his sword down upon us, I braced for the attack to hit me instead of Toru. I then heard a clanging sound hit something, I opened my eyes to see Yui in-front of us.

I then saw a purple hexagon appear right in-front of me, Seeing that it said “Immortal Object” as Yui began to glitch out. “Time for you to disappear…” Yui said in a glitchy voice as Illfang was blasted back a bit by a force of air. Yui kept glitching as she then said “Servercommand_Spawn_ID4022013-2A” as a weapon then materialized in her hand. All of us were amazed by this as Yui pointed the sword towards Illfang.

“Disappear…”

She muttered as she zipped from where Toru and I were to behind Illfang. Illfang’s health instantly dropped to zero as Illfang shattered into pieces. Kirito then ran over to Yui who dropped the sword and fell over, he caught her as the door behind the Throne lit up more.

I carried Toru on my back as Kirito carried both Yui and Asuna with the help of Yulier. “Who’s there?!?” A voice shouted out from the light as Yulier recognized the voice, “Thinker! It’s me! Yulier!!” she shouted.

“Yulier?!”

Thinker shouted out as we reached the entrance of the bright light. We walked in as Kirito slipped a little bit but caught himself as his avatar began glitching out a bit. I turned to Kirito as I asked him “What’s wrong?” as he replied, “Nothing.. Just a little slip out”. We then walked into the white room, seeing nothing but a command center.

Yulier then saw Thinker waiting as Asuna regained some consciousness and was able to hold herself up a bit. Yulier ran up to thinker as Yulier hugged Thinker as they both embraced their hug. I sat down Toru as she was starting to wake up, Yulier looked at us saying “Thank you..” as we nodded at her. Thinker and Yulier then left out the doorway as I turned my attention to Kirito, Yui and Asuna.

Yui’s condition was getting worse, her glitching becoming worse and worse. “Yui what’s going on with you?!?” Kirito said, concerned as Asuna held her hand. Yui smiled saying “I-I…I’m sorry…Papa…Mama…” with her voice being slightly distorted as she began glowing. I turned my attention away as I stood up and looked at the keyboard in-front of me.

“This must be a System Control or something…”

I thought to myself as I added on my train of thought “If I’m correct…This game uses UE 6… So it must be C++..” as I began typing simple things.

Yui on the other hand began slowly turning into particles as Yui explained in a distorted voice “I…I just…wanted to know what…love was…I’m…Being deleted…” as her glitching became worse along with her deletion speeding up.

Kirito looked at me testing out the C++ commands as he shouted to me “KIRIN! CAN YOU CONVERT YUI INTO SOME KIND OF ITEM!?!!” as I looked and shouted “Maybe!! I think there’s a way!!” as I began typing in a coding command.

“Thank god I took that computer programming class on C++...”

I thought as I typed “Servercommand Convert Entity_Y.U.I-AI-ADMIN to Item_Collectable_Gemstone_Aquamarine_Gem11”. Yui then converted into an Aquamarine Gemstone in the shape of a teardrop. Asuna held the gemstone as the Gemstone’s name was called “Aquamarine Gemstone (Teardrop)”. In the description of the item it just says “Entity_Y.U.I-AI-ADMIN”, Asuna teared up a bit as she clutched the gemstone and held it close.

Kirito didn’t know what to do as he went to hug Asuna, trying to comfort her. Toru was also awake by that point as she looked at me saying “You’re cooking tonight…” as I chuckled. I thought about it as I looked at the keyboard and the commands.

It then popped into my mind as I said “We can all leave..!” they turned to look at me as I said “We have the commands here! I can log out everyone here!!!” I shouted as they also realized that. “Well what are you waiting for!” Kirito shouted as I began typing it into the command execution tab.

“Servercommand Logout_Execute”

As I typed and pushed the enter button, a text box then showed up saying “Are you sure?” as I typed in “Yes”. Another textbox showed up saying “Calibrating…” before another showed up saying as a response “Error 101”.

My hopes were shattered as I said “What…No no no!!!” as I typed it in again, with the same text boxes showing up everytime i typed in yes.

I slammed my fists onto the keyboard frustrated shouting “WE’RE RIGHT AT THE FUCKING END!!!” taking in deep breaths. We were all filled with despair at the fact that the server command didn’t work. Kirito stood up and patted my shoulder saying “I know how you feel right now… But thank you for trying either way…” trying to sympathize with me, I then looked at him and nodded my head a little bit saying “Yeah… We were so close…” as I stood up straight as we made sure we were okay and ready to go.

“Everyone ready..?”

I asked as they nodded. They walked out as I followed shortly behind, looking back at the control station. I pulled out my sword and slammed it straight down onto the keyboard, breaking it. “If I can’t use it to get us all out of here… No one can use it to get the upper hand on us…” I thought as I walked out.

From within the room, a blinking light showed up as a piece of the wall slid up, with a person walking out of it. They looked at the command station, seeing the sword mark as they put out their hand and said “Servercommand repair room” as the white room glitched out and shattered before reversing it with a new and fixed keyboard.

“Smart move for you to break the server’s keyboard…Kirin…”

A voice said as the door behind the throne room shuts leaving the secret boss room dark and empty.
