Sylus, a young wyverian boy with strange mutations like that of his late mother, has always been interested in the vastness of the world. While living and growing up in the village of Cathar, a quaint farmstead inhabited by wyverians, his only access to information about the outside world is through random meetings with the odd traveler or so and listening to their stories. One fateful day, however, his life turns upside down when he meets a monster hunter from a faraway land, who, by the wish of Sylus himself, begins training him to become a hunter. Sylus shows great talent and promise as a future hunter, but as his skills grow, he slowly begins uncovering secrets about what his mutations truly are. He realizes that they might just be the reason why he can see torrents of otherworldly energies when no one else ever could. And that they might just also be the reason why his mother died an early death. In seeking guidance from the divine "Celestial Gale", it whispers to him that the answers to his questions lie northward. That is when he says goodbye to his home village of Cathar and decides to go on an adventure in search of the truth and perhaps an antidote to his mutations. A fan fiction set in the Monster Hunter world circa half a decade after the events of "Monster Hunter World".
