Susan has become a god. Though she doesn't know it yet. She's too caught up in the grief of just losing her soul mate. Johnathan wasn't the king of legend, or a knight in shinning armor, but he swept her off her feet all the same. That was all ages ago though. Now in the winter years of their lives they were supposed to be doting on their grandchildren and helping their own children take over the farm. The universes plans were different though.Her husband passed earlier in the afternoon, her children have come and gone, taking his body with them. Left with just his belt knife as her only token of his existence she busies herself making dinner to keep from losing herself to the truth. The moment the life of the unfortunate chicken is taken by the blade she's bombarded with excessive notifications and alerts from the system. As curious as she is they're only going to make her start thinking if she begins to read. Preparing the bird for dinner doesn't improve things though as more and more alerts come in prompting her to silence them entirely. Half this many alerts wouldn't generally appear in a year and yet existence deems the day of her husbands death to involve itself in her life?Sadly time to reflect and mourn will not be in the cards for this poor woman. Despite her willful ignorance of the changes happening other entities are paying attention. Every death dealt by that blade is another alteration of her very being. Bestowing the knife to one of her sons to pass on her husbands memory seems to only hasten the changes. Though the growing list of harshly glowing notifications isn't tantalizing enough to wrench her from her pain the increasing changes eventually do. Likewise the other gods cannot sit idly by while a new powerhouse rises. This grandmother who'd never fought for grandeur or power will have both to spare. If only that were possible without those who do fight for it coming to get a piece for themselves.
