School life wasn't getting any better for Walter. For someone who was fairly average all around, he barely stuck out from the rest of the class. He had a few friends here and there, juggled around a few hobbies and sports, and regularly burnt the candle from both ends.  So when an incident involving some witch, a large glowing circle, and the void occurred in his class it was safe to say he wasn't having the best of times. Stuck in another world with the potential to do whatever it is he wants, Walt decides to better himself, preparing for an uncertain future outside of the mundane. Now given too much freedom.
