As mentioned in the first note, the first book is now live on Amazon!
It's up to you if you want to get a copy. I didn't hold back anything to try to trick people into buying it: the book is the same story you read, just with a bit of extra editing, plus appendices like Rick's final portfolio and the joke chapter. Nothing fancy, but if you want a collected version in ebook format, it's available. (It's also free on Kindle Unlimited if you're looking to reread.)
One thing I will ask: if you've enjoyed this story and want to see it succeed, please leave a review on Amazon! Getting a higher number of reviews is critical for the success of books, so the more the merrier. You don't need to be long-winded or eloquent: what the algorithm wants to know is that a decent number of people thought the book was worth their time. If you feel that way, leaving a review would help me a lot. ^-^
Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on Royal Road.
My general idea for the second book of Street Cultivation is that it will catch up to Rick as he tries to make further improvements to his life, like getting a better job and moving to a better part of town. But because his life can't be simple, he ends up getting embroiled in a high risk, high reward conflict. It will explore more about how businesses and corporations work in this world, develop characters like Melissa and Lisa, and include a number of elements that just didn't fit into the first book.
That is the plan, anyway. I've actually made good progress on the second book, but I don't want to post chapters before I can vouch for a minimum level of polish. I'll make another pledge once I'm certain I can fulfill it. Meanwhile, cross your fingers. >_<
