When Arin makes a sacrifice to save a stranger, things go very, very wrong. After being killed defending another, she gets a glimpse of a strange, low-res afterlife and the decision to go back, with some stipulations. Back to life and with strange powers, Arin decides to track down a gang of masked thieves. The Strays, a found family of disaffected Americans, rob banks, scattering the hoarded wealth to those that need it as a modern day merry band of thieves.  Things are getting worse though, with an egomaniacal CEO making his grab for world power. Along with the mysterious Tai, a loner with similar powers and a grudge against those that rule from high above, they’ll race to pull off the biggest corporate sabotage ever. However, their personal lives and the strange afterlife known as the Demo present even more complications. Strays is a story of found family, resistance, and a low-res world of terrors that could be a precursor to our own. The journey is only beginning, as they’ll soon be in over their heads against an ages old machine they can’t stop.
