Ten years ago, the Earth was struck by a devastating meteor shower. From the craters of cities rose a horrific plague of creatures called the Scourge. His parents died in a freak raccoon attack, so he is a little funny in the head. For several weeks now, Steve has been receiving spam calls from an unknown number. Like any average 20-year-old, he ignores the calls and blocks the number. The calls continue until a federal agent follows Steve to work to notify him of his selection to become a paragon.
