Along the way Mu and Tavian will learn about their own powers, and the their roles in intertwining prophecy. From the smoky nightclubs of Shangxia, to the freezing steppes of Yarkan, the murky swamps of Hecate, and the carnivorous jungles of Luanyuan, their journey ensnares them in the plots of Emperors and revolutionaries, witches and mad scientists, secret societies and chivalric orders.This epic, star-spanning journey is filled with high adventure, brutal battles, and a colourful crew of unique characters.  Arc 2: Ruins of Karbaliq Amidst the wind-blasted steppes and shifting sands of Yarkan, Mu is forced to face the crushing weight of ancestral guilt for an ancient atrocity that refuses to be forgotten. As the crew of the Amrita struggles to unravel a web of political intrigue and clear an innocent man’s name, all paths lead to the haunted ruins of the Black City of Karbaliq – where echoes of the past threaten to destroy the future.
