Takeda Kanaye, a normal, 15 year-old highschool boy who goes on a flight to America as a school trip. On his class's way to America, their plane explodes somehow, and crashes. His girlfriend, Suzuki Akane, gets sucked out of the plane on their way to the ground, along with everyone else. Takeda manages to hold on to the now empty plane, and survives by jumping out right before the plane hits the water. Takeda, who broke both his left arm and left leg floats away in pain, before he loses consciousness. Coming to, he found himself on a bed in an unfamiliar room, turns out, he drifted to an island quite far away that's under an illusion barrier, and got picked up and cared for by a great mage, martial warrior, and other mystical characters. While the rest of the world evolves under the influence of new and mysterious arcana, Takeda becomes a user of various arts, magic, and other mystical things. After learning all he can from the mystical people on the island, he leaves and also acquires this arcana, becoming known as the strongest person on earth, and the SSS-Class Omni-Hunter.
