Sophie is your average middle schooler–except for the fact she’s top in her class and has been asked by her teachers to help tutor several subjects. While admittedly lacking some experience where boys are concerned, Sophie agrees with her parents she isn’t ready for that stuff yet. One night, she gets a phone call from a classmate who presents her with an unexpected request–to draw his picture. At first she is a little tense about talking to a boy on the phone for something other than schoolwork, but as they chat she gradually warms up to him and eventually agrees to meet him. At the boy’s house the next day, things are going fine until he whips out a bottle that looks suspiciously like alcohol, another thing she wasn’t prepared to get involved with. But Sophie soon learns that his intentions are far more sinister than she could ever imagine, causing catastrophic problems for the city, if not the world.
