Hummanity pressed the reset button 600 years ago. Countries used great bombs to destory the planet and unleashed genetic experiments to kill the survivors. The material the bombs where made of settled and caused mutation to spread among nearby populations and the condensed crystals of it caused a desease that allowed people to wield great power, at the cost that would also slowly consume them. As the fires died people decended into the craters the bombs made and found vast wells of energy previously hidden beneath the earth. Mankind would evemtually harness this energy creating new technologies and wonders. Years passed and the mutants where ousted from their homes along with the those infected by the bombs, creating a divide in society, a divide which 600 years later is reaching a boiling point.
