Synopsis
As the sun sets on the once-mighty Sestinian Empire, shadows of discord and decline stretch across its vast territories. The imperial city of Sestinum, the greatest metropolis on Gaia and its provincial Dioceses, faces an era of turbulence. Religious zealots of the Solar Cult threaten to ignite civil strife, while barbarian invasions batter the frontiers. The Pentarchy of Pontiffs, struggling to maintain order, is embroiled in power plays and doctrinal disputes, further weakening the empire’s unity.
Amidst this chaos, the illustrious Sergia family finds itself at a crossroads. Flavius Sergius Ursinius, a stern and battle-hardened former magister militum, is called back to Sestinum to restore stability. As he grapples with his return to power, his sons, Quirinus and Durans, and his daughters, Julia and young Felicia, must navigate their own paths in a world teetering on the edge of collapse. From political machinations in the glittering courts to the sunlit streets of Vallum, the Sergias must unite or risk being consumed by the empire’s impending twilight.
