[participant in the NaNoWriMo Royal Road challenge] Born to a newly crowned King and a recently geas'd Queen in a fantasy world, the protagonist must stay afloat as he balances learning magic and fulfilling the hopes and wishes of his family.  Honestly, I didn't do any prep for this story because I wanted to just write something for once instead of world building. Bear with me as, though I will try my best not to, I fall into tropes and cliches left and right.
