Synopsis
In the year 829, the emerald isle of Ireland stands at the crossroads of history, as the relentless Norsemen push westward in search of wealth and new lands.
Aedan, an Irishman bound by fate to the Norse chieftain Alvar, must navigate the treacherous waters of loyalty and survival. As he grows close to Alvar’s son, Einarr, their bond is tested by the rising tides of ambition and conflict that threaten to engulf them.
Meanwhile, the fierce Viking leader Yngvarr sets his sights on the rich, divided lands of Ireland, where alliances are forged in fire and betrayal. His dreams of conquest and power lead him into a deadly game of intrigue, pitting Norsemen against Irish kings in a struggle for dominance.
At the same time, Yngvarr’s brother, Hrodulfr, embarks on a journey of discovery, driven by the call of distant horizons and the promise of new lands. His quest takes him to the farthest reaches of the known world, where the lure of uncharted territory beckons—and where the cost of ambition may be higher than he ever imagined.
In Snowbound Emerald, Norsemen, Irishmen, and Pictish warriors clash and conspire in a story of epic proportions. As kingdoms rise and fall, the destinies of a few will shape the future of a land caught in the storm of history.
