Six Sanctuaries of Earthen Mirrors. The very name that humans called their home on their planet Earth, or at least, what was left of it... ****** In the 2083th Year of the Labour Age, almost a century after the New Media Age or the Information Age that started in the 21st century, people became emotionless tools. With a scripted wake-up routine, systematic traveling destinations, a fluid workflow for different sectors, and overtime and sleeping routines, people in this Labour Age treated themselves as nothing more than small gears working toward a bigger goal.  That is... to raise their walking lands higher. In the year 2027 February 08, 9:36 pm, reports stated that an alarming number of earthquakes are simultaneously quaking and volcanoes classified as active, dormant, and even extinct started erupting from countries included or near the Ring of Fire.  After an hour of more than dozens of volcanoes ranging from small ones to super volcanoes resulted in a massive approximate tally of 5 million deaths according to the general population based on the nearest city from a volcano. Deaths mostly range from asphyxiation, motor-vehicle accidents, falls, and building-related fatalities. The world was shocked by the catastrophic calamity human had ever befall from the might of nature.  But, not even a day later, more despairing news reached their screens as they watched numerous shores quickly recess their water levels to a very low degree. People watching from their TVs or gadgets saw a kilometer-length lack of water on the shorelines. The negative thought, "Is this the end of the world?", appeared in the mind of numerous people watching this breaking news. As people around the world mourn the loss of life and despaired about what would come next, the world fell silent... ****** Various leaders of countries, and several of their allies or enemies started an emergency conference to dictate what should be planned or started for humans to survive this calamity in the future. As the meeting goes on, unfortunately, interests and profits for their country/themselves outweigh in the minds of the majority while justice-laden voices and sacrifices were in the minority and were mostly ignored by the rest. Though, there is a specific plan of action that everyone agreed on.  That is, to build a sanctuary that let humans and selected animals survive this calamity. However, the selection of people included in the sanctuary remains heatedly debated. ****** For a society that lacks entertainment due to the focused efforts of strengthening the land, the Mirror's 6 Councilmen/women decided that a little entertainment would be beneficial to anyone despite its massive cost of production. Announced in March 3 2093, in every broadcast station, radio's or social media platforms, people witnessed the birth of the development of the very first official re-creation of virtual reality ever since the Fire RIng Calamity. The game's official launch would be during the year 3000 January 1 and its distribution would be on the same day to every person registered.  The only cost would be a loss of 100 Energy Points per person, a currency that was also issued by the Council, and really just a moderate loss to take considering a full set of meals would cost 33 EP and taking a full job a day would earn 255 EP. The game distribution is optional depending on the person's choices but a certain man probably can't wait to get his hands on it and even excitedly jumps up and down like a clown in his room. ****** Meanwhile, in Loren's room I jumped straight to my bed and fixed my unruly position then finally adjusted with my face facing the calendar.  I grabbed a marker placed on the top of the calendar and opened its lid. [September 17, 2999] I flipped the calendar after crossing the date today and after reaching the year 3000 and the month of January, I looked at the marked number 1 on it. "Heh... Hehehe... Hehehihiehe...... Hahahahaha! Hwahahahahahhhahaha!!! Hiehieheiheheheheahheaha!!! Hahahahahahahhhhahahaaak-kaaaah! Kehok, kohok...... Kohom! Kohom! Aaackkk!......
