Earth experiences change. All of a sudden there are massive earthquakes, volcano eruptions, tsunamis and every natural disaster imaginable. Earths population is decimated. If Earth still had access to satelites and the like they wouldn't be able to recognize their own planet. Everyone still alive gets teleported to a random location on the "new planet".
