This story is set in its own parallel universe with a matriarchal culture. Mary must deal with the consequences of using a male prostitute and becoming pregnant by him. Before you blame her, know that she is already asking herself searching questions.  Was this just a business deal or did she exploit him? Shouldn't she try and help him?  Morally, doesn't he deserve paternal rights? Mary is a shy mild-mannered girl, unless she is in the guise of her alter-ego, Cutie the Clown.  In her clown costume, she becomes brave, sexy and outrageous.  She got herself into this as Cutie the Clown, now as a desperate clown, she has resolved to sort things out.  But how?
