Synopsis
Powerful magicians walked the land. They were not callous or uncaring, even though their workings of great magic often caused suffering throughout the four continents. They were always sorry afterwards. What they were was... stupid. His lord had great hopes for the orphan Toby, developing his potential from birth.(Note: I may end the description here in the future, and everything that follows may change).I've not written any story for decades, and I have poor skills in both grammar and spelling. Naturally, I have the arrogance to try my hand at writing at this late stage of my life. Don't expect a new chapter, don't expect brilliance, don't expect any effort on my part at all. Hopefully I will sometimes disappoint those expectations.Continuation of what might be in the story. His every need was taken care of as his lord intended him to become a powerful mage to serve him. All his life, Toby lived in the Magicians quarter of the castle, followed the 3 rules of future power, guarded jealously by his lord who ensured his mind would never be stimulated.1. You must not read.2. You must not count.3. You must not speak.Soon he would face his 1st challenge in life, magical testing, on his 15th Birthday. But Toby has a problem. He can read, he can count and he can speak. Toby is not simple, and so has no magical potential.
