Synopsis
Kiyoshi was an outcast in his first life, ridiculed for his struggles with mental illness, trapped in a cycle of torment and rejection. Pushed to the edge by cruelty and isolation, his descent into darkness ended tragically when, consumed by guilt for hurting his only friend, he took his own life. But death was not the end for Kiyoshi.
He awakens in a new world, one of wealth and magic, as a member of a powerful family. Yet, the scars of his past remain, and he is shunned for his inability to cast magic. Cast aside as a lowborn, Kiyoshi is sold into slavery and subjected to brutal abuse. Day by day, he withers, becoming a hollow shell of the boy he once was—numb, soulless, and nearly broken beyond repair.
On the verge of death, Kiyoshi glimpses a sliver of hope: a beautiful princess, kind and innocent, who unknowingly reignites the flicker of emotion in his broken heart. Obsessed with the idea of being near her, Kiyoshi vows to find his way into her life, despite his shattered mind and the scars that make him unrecognizable as a human being.
But his path to her is fraught with danger, rejection, and his own inner demons. His broken speech and strange mannerisms make him an outcast, viewed as monstrous by those around him. As Kiyoshi desperately tries to prove his worth—whether as a butler, a guard, or something more—his love warps into obsession, and his protective instincts turn deadly. Unaware of the blood he's spilling in her name, the princess sees only the horror of what he's become.
When she finally calls him a monster, the very word Kiyoshi has feared his entire life, it shatters him once more. Fleeing from the only light he’s ever known, Kiyoshi finds himself on the edge of another collapse, but this time, he wonders if there is any redemption left for a soul as broken as his.
