The world is falling apart, barely held together at the seams by the Sanctuary Cities that Magical Girls and Magical Guardians have managed to establish. And within, life almost seems normal to those living there. But to 15-year old Lewis Vellum, those days of being able to pretend alongside everyone else that everything is fine and that their protectors have everything handled have become a thing of the past after experiencing firsthand the horrors assailing the world. That doesn't stop them from attempting the seemingly impossible task of forgetting. But as the seams holding everything together begin to fray and the feeling of wrongness begins to grow, they soon find themselves having to sink or swim when they're dunked headfirst into it all. And they're not even sure if they want to swim in the first place with the way they and the world are currently. They'll just have to change that. A story about a teenager finding their place in a broken world, learning of the terrible secrets it holds, and doing their best to change it for the better.
