Synopsis

In the year 1519, in some corner of the New World, a battle unfolds that will shape the destiny of entire civilizations. Alejandro Montalvo de Cádiz, heir to the powerful House Montalvo, emerges as an indifferent and enigmatic leader in the chaos of war, where the elegance of nobility merges with the brutality of conflict. Behind the façade of Spanish aristocracy, the 12 Organizations of Oligarchs, manipulators of aether and keepers of dark secrets, rule the world from the shadows. On the eve of his 39th birthday, Alejandro finds himself caught between the obligation to lead his house and the weight of a world governed by mystical forces. The plot unfolds in a world where Gaia, fused with other realms, becomes the stage for a power game among great families and organizations seeking to control valuable resources, artifacts, and the concentration of aether. In this conflict, the American continent becomes the epicenter of the struggle, with ancient civilizations such as the Aztecs, Tlaxcaltecs, Incas, and Mayans entangled in a web of intrigues and conspiracies. While Alejandro, a prodigy in mystical arts, advances through the stages of Elemental Refinement and Elemental Mastery, he discovers the truth behind the fusion of worlds and the purpose of the Organizations of Oligarchs. With uncertain loyalties and hidden enemies, he will face the crossroads of protecting his lineage, his family, and the forces that control Gaia. In "Shadows of Gaia," the story intertwines with epic elements of supernatural battles, political intrigues, and ancient discoveries. Amidst a world where indifference blends with divine power, Alejandro Montalvo becomes the pivot of a destiny that defies the shadows and reveals secrets buried in the very essence of Gaia. Warning: I wrote this novel aiming to stay as close to real dates and events as possible. However, as I introduce a variable of factions with hidden supernatural powers that rule the world from the beginning, achieving 100% accuracy is impossible. Additionally, as an engineering student rather than a history student, my knowledge of history is limited. While I do study some history as a hobby, do not expect excessively detailed accuracy.
