As he finds his bearings, events accelerate. He finds himself forced into a situation he could never have imagined even in his most delirious nightmare. He must learn to survive, escape, and thrive in a strange and confusing world — a world that puts any impossibility and guaranteed law of reality into question.  But it's not hopeless. Tom's journey will take him to realms of beauty and wonder in addition to hells unknown to him. He will meet peoples and creatures, both benign and cruel.
