A Second Chance, a New Life, and New Problems Jacob Myers is dead, having been killed by drunk driving and mysterious influences. However, the God of Change has granted him a Second Chance—with a catch. Now a Forsaken, Jacob exists on the brink between the living and the undead. Facing stigma from msot he encounters and a hunger for the living, Jacob must find a way to improve himself, confront his inner demons, and become a better being. The journey ahead will be challenging and fraught with obstacles; his path will be complex and morally ambiguous at times. Yet the reborn Heretic intends to rise and bring equality to those who have been deprived of it—if he can survive long enough. What to expect  -Slow burn, character-driven story. -NO OP MC! -No harem. -A MC who is struggling to improve himself and the lives of others.   -Dieselpunk/Magic/LitRPG setting. -Eventual kingdom building and then all-out war.  Chapter release will be ~1-4 chapters per week, depending on the time I have to write. Chapters will typically be 1.5-4K words long.
