In the future, millennia after leaving Earth, humanity continues to fall prey to its own failings. Science has advanced through the use of an exotic substance known as eitr and with those leaps and bounds came marvels such as FTL capable vessels and communications alongside new and devastating machines of war; Einherjar, ten-meter tall humanoid weapons platforms. The illusion of peace is kept by a public facing treaty among the mega-corporations that control the Vangr expanse while they engage in the use of mercenary Einherjar pilots for small scale engagements.  One such pilot finds herself tasked with an outwardly simple job, unfortunate that there's no such thing.
