Dead Men Tell the Best Tales 2025 Community Magazine Contest From a young age Archer had a fascination for the unknown and mythical, and one day, when he was young, he was told a story of a city made of gold. Ever since, he would research and buy as many books and information as he could get ahold of. At 20, when his parents suddenly passed, Archer sold everything he owned, and with his childhood friend, Cael, bought a ship, crafted a crew, and sailed the seas hoping to find the city. Eight years passed, and finally, Archer found a clue. A map and a coin led Archer to a worn out leather-bound notebook of a person who found the city. Archer must now follow the tales of the previous pirate. During the journey, he will follow the tales of Captain Augusta, and finally, at the end of the journey, he will arrive at the city of gold.
